About the Author
Valentin Petrov is an independent global advisor and author of the GRDP Model™ - a proprietary framework for risk-driven project delivery in large-scale oil & gas and infrastructure projects.
With over 20 years of executive leadership across Russia, CIS, Africa, and the Middle East, he has directed capital programs ranging from $50M to $7B, advising CEOs and boards on strategic governance, capital protection, and transformational execution. His approach is grounded in decades of frontline experience, not abstract theory - making risk visible and governance actionable at every stage, from FEED to operations.
His monograph, "Global Risk-Driven Project Delivery: Managing Large-Scale Oil & Gas EPC Projects Across Russia, Central Asia, and North Africa", is published on SSRN and lays the foundation for an upcoming quantitative decision-support platform. He is currently developing the mathematical model and technical architecture for this platform, which will translate the GRDP framework into a practical software tool for project leaders, investors, and risk professionals.
